Riley Tedrow, an entomologist with 3rd Medical Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, handles a Taiwan habu, a venomous snake native to Taiwan and the Asian Continent, during a snake handling course on Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, April 28, 2026. The training featured a mosquito laboratory designed to teach medical personnel how to identify mosquito species in order to combat vector-borne diseases and safe handling of regional snakes to better support jungle operations.
