The family of U.S. Army Capt. Willibald C. Bianchi gathered at the New Ulm Readiness Center for a memorial after the veteran was returned home, 85 years later. Bianchi was killed in the sinking of the Enoura Maru on Jan. 9, 1945. His remains were identified in August 2025. (Minnesota National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. Mahsima Alkamooneh)
