Jerrod Melander, the engineer coordination officer in charge and deputy commanding officer of the 130th Engineer Brigade, provides remarks during a turnover ceremony for a multipurpose building in Quezon, Nueva Ecija, Tuesday, April 28, 2026, as part of Exercise Balikatan 2026. The 130th Engineer Brigade worked alongside Philippine Army counterparts to complete the structure in support of the local community. Balikatan is a longstanding annual exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. military that represents the strength of our alliance, improves our capable combined force, and demonstrates our commitment to regional peace and prosperity.
