Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) and members of the FIRE Rocket Challenge organization guide students building straw rockets, and launching them to a simulated moon, at the Sea Air Space science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) expo in Washington, D.C. on April 19, 2026. PAE SSP headquarters is an active Navy STEM partner to the local D.C. metropolitan community, supporting K-12 schools in STEM-based events, competitions, and workshops.
PAE SPP is a Navy acquisitions command with cradle-to-grave responsibility for providing sea-based strategic weapon systems to our warfighters defending the nation. PAE SSP’s STEM program supports the Department of War’s (DoW) STEM mission to inspire, cultivate, and develop exceptional STEM talent through a continuum of opportunities to enrich the current and future DoW workforce.
