FORT KNOX, Ky. Resilience and teamwork weren't just found in the field this week they were on full display at the Sadowski Center as the Army Reserve Careers Group (ARCG) took to the court for the Fort Knox Intramural Basketball Championship, Feb. 11, 2026.
In a high stakes matchup against competitive local units, ARCG players demonstrated the same precision and dedication they bring to the Army Reserve mission. The game was a highlight of the installation’s Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) sports program, which fosters esprit de corps and physical readiness among Soldiers, civilians, and family members across the "Strength Starts Here". The championship saw standout performances, including high flying dunks and critical defensive plays that kept the crowd on their feet. Beyond the final score, the event underscored the importance of community and athletic competition in maintaining a balanced, combat ready force.
"Events like these are vital for building the bonds between our Soldiers," said one of the team captains. "It’s about more than just a trophy it’s about the sweat, the teamwork, and representing our unit with pride."
