NAVAL BASE GUAM (April 24, 2026) Contractors load generators from Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) onto Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) 62, attached to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5, embarked on San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Portland (LPD-27), on Naval Base Guam, April 24. The Department of War plays an important role in disaster response and all efforts are in close coordination with and in support of FEMA working with Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands civil and local officials to recover from the devastating impacts of Typhoon Sinlaku.
