Wreaths are placed as part of Australian and New Zealand Army Corps Day during Exercise Balikatan 2026 in Manila, Philippines, April 25, 2026. Anzac Day marks the landing on the shores of Gallipoli of Australian and New Zealand Army Corps soldiers in 1915 and commemorates all Australian and New Zealand personnel who served and died in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. Balikatan is a longstanding annual exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. military that represents the strength of our alliance, improves our capable combined force, and demonstrates our commitment to regional peace and prosperity.
