Swedish Army Maj. Rutger Gyllenram briefs U.S. Marines and Sailors with Combat Logistics Battalion 24, Combat Logistics Regiment 27, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, in Kvarn, Norway, April 22, 2026. Gyllenram gave the brief during exercise Aurora as part of Sword 26. The welcome aboard brief prepares units for the upcoming training exercise by addressing risk mitigation and operational security training. U.S. Marines and Sailors with 2nd MLG are participating in Aurora as part of the larger Sword 26 series of linked multinational exercises. This participation directly supports NATO's Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative concept, validates defense plans, builds a unified lethal force, and strengthens deterrence.
