BREMERTON, Wash. – Sailors assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Bremerton participate in a “Chalk the Walk” event in observance of Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Month, April 21, 2026. The event serves as a visual commitment to fostering a culture of respect and professionalism while providing support to survivors within the fleet. . With April designated as the Navy’s Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, the theme for 2026, ‘Step Forward. Prevent. Report. Advocate,’ is designed to create an appropriate environment to eliminate sexual assault with a personal commitment from all personnel. Events like ‘Chalk the Walk’ help reinforce the Navy commitment to eliminating the crime of sexual assault which erodes a command’s mission readiness.
