Staff Sgts. Marie Marquis and Joey Mazzara from the United States Army Field Band participate in the Norwegian Foot March hosted by the 1-204th Air Defense Artillery (ADA) BN on April 4, 2026, at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. Each of them successfully completed the 30 km (18.64-mile) foot march with an 11 kg (24.25 lbs) pack to earn their bronze Norwegian Foot March badge. SSG Marquis was the first female to finish the ruck march in a time of 3 hours and 45 minutes. The Norwegian Foot March Badge is one of the authorized foreign decorations which is allowed to be worn by members of the United States military.
