U.S. Army Spc. Leah Thurston, a firefighter assigned to the 296th Engineer Detachment, Ohio Army National Guard, puts on equipment at Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base, Romania, April 14, 2026. The training demonstrated rapid response, technical proficiency and coordinated teamwork during a high-stress simulated emergency environment.
