Yorktown, Va. (April 15, 2026) Civilian Personnel assigned to the Fleet and Family Support Center, Emergency Operations Center and Installation Training Department conduct an Emergency Family Assistance Center (EFAC) walkthrough at the chapel annex building at Naval Weapons Station Yorktown. This collaborative training evolution, conducted as part of the larger HURREX 2026 exercised allowed staff members to walk through complex disaster response scenarios; and ensures that the installations continuity of support for affected personnel are agile, effective and ready when needed. An EFAC plays a critical role during the aftermath of a crisis by serving as a centralized hub to connect affected personnel and their families with vital recovery and resources.
