John Nes, the captain of the Ocean Viking, thanks Petty Officer 1st Class Jason Bunch, an aviation survival technician with Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak, after his rescue from their life raft 190 miles southwest of Kodiak, Alaska, June 26, 2013. Bunch played a pivotal role in their rescue by contacting them in the life raft and getting each man and the dog to the rescue basket for safe hoist into the helicopter.
