U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Aviel Solomon, an explosive ordnance disposal technician with Combat Logistics Battalion 2, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, utilizes an XRS-4 portable x-ray to scan a simulated ordnance threat during the EOD Team of the Year competition at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, April 13, 2026. The service level competition was hosted by 8th ESB for more than 50 Marines to test individual and team skills in realistic scenarios and share tactics, techniques and procedures, with the winning team being recognized by the Congressional EOD Caucus.
