FLEET ACTIVITIES YOKOSUKA, Japan (April 7, 2026) – Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) and Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA) schools hosted a Month of the Military Child kickoff ceremony at Yokosuka Primary School and the Sullivans Elementary School at the installation's main base April 7, 2026. The event celebrated military-connected students for their resilience and contributions, featuring student-led remarks and a performance by the U.S. 7th Fleet Band, and wrapping up with a red-carpet walk as students were cheered on by their families in uniform.
