IKEGO HILLS FAMILY HOUSING AREA, Japan (April 14, 2026) -- Lois Rapp, Department of War Education Activity (DOWEA) Pacific Director for Student Excellence, introduces Stacey Hull-Walsh, Ikego Elementary School principal, at the school's Stellar Schools Awards Ceremony April 14, 2026 in Zushi, Japan. Ikego Elementary is the first DOWEA Pacific East school to earn the Stellar Schools Award. The award recognizes schools that demonstrate measurable impact in academic achievement, resilience, and well-being through strategic actions aligned to agency goals for every student, every day, everywhere as part of the DOWEA Blueprint for Continuous Improvement.
