NORFOLK, VA (Apr. 14, 2026) Commander, Submarine Force Atlantic's Sailor of the Year finalists participate in an orientation flight aboard a CMV-22B Osprey aircraft atttached to Fleet Logistics Multi-Mission Squadron (VRM) 40 as part of the Type Commander Sailor of the Year Program. The Sailor of the Year Program recognizes the best of the best Sailors in Navy and rewards the top Sea and Shore candidates with automatic advancement to Chief Petty Officer.
