260327-N-DM318-1042 INDIAN OCEAN (Mar. 27, 2026) U.S. Marines with Kilo Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit prepare to participate in a small arms course of fire using M27 and M4 assault rifles during a live-fire exercise aboard Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) in the East China Sea, Mar. 27, 2026. Rushmore and embarked elements of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit are conducting routine operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
