A Coast Guard Cutter Vigorous (WMEC 627) small boat crew investigates an adrift and derelict sailing vessel while underway in the Florida Straits, March 25, 2026. Coast Guard Sector Key West watchstanders received a report of the vessel from the Canadian Coast Guard Ship Naalak Nappaaluk, whose crew searched the area for potential persons in distress; Vigorous’ crew was directed on scene by Sector Key West and confirmed the vessel was abandoned and located Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission derelict vessel documentation on board.
