Today the 68th Theater Medical Command Pioneers hosted a professional development session for Team MED EUR-AF at Sembach Kaserne and was attended by approximately 100 medical personnel. Representatives from 68th, MRC-Europe, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and 30th Medical Brigade had the unique opportunity to hear from a subject matter expert on far-forward and prolonged combat casualty care in Ukraine. As the U.S. and other Nations continue to support Ukraine in their fight, we all must seek to learn from their experiences so as to better prepare for a large-scale combat operation environment. And for our medical teams this means applying lessons our Ukrainian medical colleagues are learning to translate those lessons to saved lives in the future. As eloquently stated and summarized by the 68th TMC Commander, COL Tracy Michael, “Adapting at the speed of relevance will help us defeat any adversary, should deterrence fail.”
