U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Seth Silveira, a low altitude air defense gunner with 3rd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion, Marine Air Control Group 18, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, briefs U.S. and Republic of Korea Marines during Korean Marine Exchange Program 26.1 in Pohang, South Korea, March 25, 2026. KMEP 26.1 is a bilateral exercise conducted annually in South Korea to refine dispersed command and control functionality enhancing combat readiness and strengthening alliance capabilities. U.S. Marines and their ROK counterparts exchanged tactics, techniques, and procedures during a subject matter expert exchange centered on passive air defense, the employment of air defense assets, and defensive of a maneuver element tactics.
