The panel traced the journey of naval presence on Stennis from the era of analog charting and manual forecasting to the current data-driven, globally networked enterprise, underscoring the ever-increasing importance of environmental intelligence in an era of complex global threats.
Naval Oceanography is a global force of approximately 2,900 military and civilian personnel. These dedicated professionals collect, process, and exploit environmental information from the seabed to the stars, enabling the Fleet and Joint Force to operate with confidence and precision across all domains - from the seabed to the stars.
