JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii — From March 16–20, 2026, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Field Force Engineering program, led by Terrence Harrington, delivered Base Camp Master Planning instruction to the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Pacific at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The course trained NAVFAC Pacific personnel in practical methodologies for base camp development, land use planning and operational integration to support expeditionary and base planning missions. The training reinforced foundational principles through hands-on exercises and real-world scenarios, enhancing the readiness of NAVFAC Contingency Engineering Response Teams and strengthening capabilities for building and sustaining advanced naval bases in the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility. This is the first partnership with NAVFAC Pacific and USACE instructing FFE training, marking a significant step in increasing operational readiness and supporting expeditionary operations in the region.
