Chief Petty Officer Samantha Chavez and Master Chief Petty Officer Dennis Dawson cut the Chief Petty Officer Birthday Celebration cake during a ceremony at Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) Great Lakes. As the youngest and oldest members of the Chief’s Mess, Chavez and Dawson upheld a time-honored Navy tradition symbolizing the passing of knowledge, experience, and leadership across generations of Chief Petty Officers.
