GRAFENWOEHR TRAINING AREA, Germany - Soldiers from A Battery, 5th Battalion, 4th Air Defense Artillery Regiment conduct Maneuver Short Range Air Defense (M SHORAD) live fire operations during a multi-phase FAMFIRE event at Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, March 19–27, 2026. Throughout Scenario 3, crews executed successive bounding maneuvers between battle positions, engaged ground targets, and reported simulated air tracks while operating under shifting Air Defense Warnings (ADW) and Weapons Control Status (WCS). The training incorporated MQM 170C targets, quad copter drones, and multiple ground target arrays to replicate a realistic, contested air ground environment.
