U.S. service members with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency hike through a jungle during a recovery mission in Laos, March 7, 2026. The DPAA recovery team and local workers created a safe route to the excavation unit in order to search through soil for possible evidence leading to missing U.S. personnel.
