The Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz environmental team teaches Guam Community College students about the Sabånan Fadang memorial site on MCB Camp Blaz, Guam, March 28, 2026. During the construction of the Camp Blaz main cantonment, archeologists discovered five sites with at least one burial dating back to the Latte Period. All CHamoru burials at Sabånan Fadang were preserved in place. The bone fragments, discovered outside of a burial context, were wrapped in muslin and placed in woven baskets before being reinterred amongst the burials. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
