NAVAL AIR FACILITY ATSUGI, Japan (Mar. 28, 2026) - A military working dog (MWD) assigned to Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi security forces jumps towards a simulated suspect during a MWD demonstration during the NAF Atsugi Kidsfest onboard NAF Atsugi. The Kidsfest is an annual event that brings fun and educational resources together for dependents and their children. NAF Atsugi supports the combat readiness of Commander, Fleet Air Western Pacific, Commander, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 51 and 23 other tenant commands, and provides logistic support, coordination, and services to units assigned to the Western Pacific.
