Capt. Kent D. Whalen, commanding officer of the amphibious transport dock USS Juneau and Capt. Tilghman Payne, commander of Fleet Activities Sasebo, greet Rear Adm. Prasan Sukkaset, commander of the Royal Thai Navy Cadet Training Unit, during a port visit to Sasebo. Juneau is the sponsoring ship for RTN frigates H.T.M.S. Naresuan and H.T.M.S. Saiburi. Saiburi and Naresuan are conducting an overseas cadet training tour to enhance the seamanship and professional skill of future Thai sailors and officers and to broaden international perspectives and relationships with the countries the ships visit.
