The 39th Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. Eric M. Smith, receives a brief about the
MQ-9A Reaper from Brig. Gen. David C. Walsh, the Program Executive Officer for Air
Anti-Submarine Warfare, Assault & Special Mission, at Naval Air Base Patuxent River,
Maryland, March 25, 2026. Gen. Smith visited Patuxent River to meet with the leaders of Marine
Aviation Detachment and Program Executive Office of Air Anti-Submarine Warfare, Assault &
Special Mission to receive briefs on the CH-53, MV-22 Osprey, and the MQ-9A Reaper as well
as delivered speeches, answered questions, and recognized individual Marines and civilians for
