Drill sergeants with the Recruiting and Retention Battalion, Rhode Island Army National Guard (RIARNG), conduct physical training with Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) Ranger instructors during a subject matter expert exchange (SMEE), March 11, 2026, in Coral Harbour, The Bahamas.
The exchange brings together Rhode Island National Guard (RING) drill sergeants and RBDF Ranger instructors to share professional experiences and best practices in developing, instructing and leading military recruits. Conducted in coordination with United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), the engagement supports the broader security cooperation relationship between the RING and RBDF by aligning activities within the bilateral security cooperation framework, ensuring tactical exchanges contribute to shared objectives, magnify mutual benefits and strengthen trust between U.S. and Bahamian forces.
