A U.S. Air Force HH-60W Jolly Green II helicopter assigned to the 56th Rescue Generation Squadron based out of Aviano Air Base, Italy, carries Aviano AB Airmen assigned to the 57th Rescue Squadron and Swedish air force rangers assigned to the 17th Wing based out of Ronneby, Sweden, towards a drop-point during Exercise Cold Response 26 in Norway, March 18, 2026. The Swedish rangers teamed up with the 56th and 57th Rescue Squadrons for rapid recovery training in extreme conditions, strengthening NATO’s ability to respond decisively and rapidly in the High North.
