Allan McPherson, brother of the late Maj. Everette McPherson, holds the hand of his wife during a posthumous Distinguished Flying Cross ceremony honoring the heroic actions of his brother at Marine Support Facility New Orleans, March 18, 2026. The Distinguished Flying Cross is awarded to those who have displayed single acts of heroism or extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight. Maj.
