Master Sgt. Matthew Croteau, 155th Air Refueling Wing deputy fire chief, directs a skid steer operator applying fire suppressant during wildfire response operations, March 18, 2026, near Brady, Nebraska. The skid steer was equipped with a FYREBX 300-gallon system that disperses F-500 encapsulating agent to reduce heat and suppress active flames. Airmen and Soldiers assigned to the Nebraska National Guard Joint Emergency Response Crew worked together to coordinate suppression efforts, improved command and control, resource allocation, and overall operational effectiveness.
