U.S. Army infantrymen with 1st Battalion, 181st Infantry Regiment, Massachusetts National Guard, prepare a support-by-fire position during an infantry tactics demonstration for Justified Accord 2026 Distinguished Visitors Day at the Humanitarian Peace Support School, Nairobi, Kenya, March 13, 2026. The demonstration showed senior military leaders from participating nations the fruits of the joint training between the KDF and U.S. Army, simulating a joint attack on a hostile-occupied compound with a CBRN threat. The joint training and demonstration showcased increased interoperability, lethality, and innovation, only available by combining best practices as partners for stability in the region.
Justified Accord 2026 strengthens multinational interoperability for humanitarian assistance and crisis response, prepares regional partners for United Nations and African Union missions, and builds readiness for the U.S. joint force. Led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) and hosted in Djibouti, Kenya, and Tanzania, JA26 is U.S. Africa Command’s largest exercise in East Africa.
