Soldiers assigned to Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 124th Infantry Regiment, Task Force Seminole, 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Florida Army National Guard, conduct security and patrol operations during a deployment validation exercise Feb. 13, 2026, at Fort Bliss, Texas. Soldiers operated across multiple forward operating bases, manned defensive positions, and maintained perimeter security while responding to simulated opposing forces that attempted to disrupt operations. Training included entry control point operations, vehicle searches for explosives and contraband, and counter–unmanned aircraft system procedures to detect and respond to aerial threats. The exercise validated the Task Force Seminole’s ability to conduct sustained security operations in a complex operational environment for their upcoming deployment to the Horn of Africa.
