USNS Matthew Perry brings lift capabilities to Brunei

After topping off the fuel for a Puma helicopter assigned to the USNS Matthew Perry, the aircrew returns the fuel hose to the hangar, June 18. Air lift is one capability the ship is able to provide during the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief and Military Medicine Exercise hosted by Brunei Darussalam from June 17 to 20. More than 2,500 multinational personnel from 18 countries are participating in the exercise, which allows partner nations an opportunity to collaborate with one another to achieve mutual security goals, address shared concerns, and continue to develop and enhance relationships. The ship is attached to Commander, Task Force 73, U.S. Seventh Fleet.
