U.S. Marines with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 466, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing prepare a CH-53E Super Stallion engine for transport during Korean Marine Exchange Program 26.1 at Suwon Air Base, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, March 17, 2026. Marines with HMH-466 replaced a CH-53E engine while deployed, demonstrating their ability to operate and conduct maintenance in austere environments. KMEP is a semiannual exercise that provides iterative opportunities for Republic of Korea Marine Corps and U.S. Marine Corps units to train together, improving their combined capabilities to deter threats and maintain peace on the Korean Peninsula.
