U.S. Marine Corps 1st Lt. Benjamin C. Currey, a platoon commander with 3rd Littoral Combat Team, 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, was selected by the United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) to serve as a military mentor. The program, which hosts high school students from across the country, was held in Washington D.C., March 7-14, 2026. The USSYP provides high school students the opportunity to visit Washington D.C. and pursue future careers in government-related services. Currey is a native of Rhode Island.
