A U.S. Air Force HH-60W Jolly Green II helicopter assigned to the 56th Rescue Generation Squadron based out of Aviano Air Base, Italy, rappels a Swedish air force ranger assigned to the 17th Wing based out of Ronneby, Sweden, during Exercise Cold Response 26 in Norway, March 13, 2026. Training in the High North allows the 56th Rescue and Rescue Generation squadrons alongside the Swedish air force rangers to validate combat-ready personnel recovery capabilities in austere arctic conditions.
