    Veterans of 3rd Battalion, 123rd Field Artillery Regiment gather with Andrew Kash, son of Spc. Benjamin Kash, during a remembrance event at the Waltonville, Illinois, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9153 March 14. Spc. Kash was serving in the Illinois Army National Guard when he died June 5, 1999 during the unit’s annual training at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Andrew was nine-months-old when his father died.
