Theresa Kopecky, 16th Air Force liaison officer and director of Operating Location–Austin, participate in a panel discussion titled “The ‘Dual-Use’ Pipeline: Scaling Tech for Space Force Readiness” at Capital Factory House during South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, March 13, 2026. Panelists discussed strategies for accelerating dual-use technologies with both commercial and military applications, highlighting how SpaceWERX leverages regional innovation ecosystems and commercial aerospace infrastructure to rapidly prototype and transition capabilities for the USSF. As the innovation arm of the USSF and a division within AFWERX, SpaceWERX collaborates with industry to accelerate the development and transition of space technologies for national security missions.
