U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Marcus Annibale, commanding general of 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, presents a challenge coin to Cpl. Matthew Desantis, an intelligence surveillance reconnaissance systems engineer with Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron 1, for his hard work, initiative and determination on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, March 13, 2026. Before his time ends as commanding general of 1st MAW, Annibale gave his farewell to Marines within the unit. Annibale is a native of Virginia. Desantis is a native of New Jersey.
