Japanese Lt. Gen. Koichi Isobe, the vice chief of the joint staff with Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, looks to one of his aides before walking to an MV-22B Osprey aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., June 18. Isobe and his aides toured the base, flew the Osprey simulators and rode in an actual MV-22B before heading home to Japan.
