    1st Special Forces Group (Airborne)

    A Security Force Assistance Foreign Weapons Course instructor from U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School gives commands at the range on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, Feb 20. 2026. The training taught various weapon systems used in the Indo-Pacific region to the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) and other JBLM units to improve interoperability with partner forces.

    1st SFG(A) conducts special operations throughout the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command areas of responsibility to support command objectives and U.S. national interests. The group maintains and employs units of action to execute the full spectrum of special operations at a moment's notice with allies, partners, and the joint force.
