U.S. Airmen assigned to the 31st Combat Air Base Squadron conduct command and control operations in a tactical operations center during a field training exercise at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, Feb. 11, 2026. Building on experience from December’s FTX, 31 ATF established an expeditionary WOC at Hurlburt Field while 31 CABS, acting as a forward deployed element, established a tactical operations center almost 100 miles away. The WOC-TOC separation allowed 31 ATF to strengthen communication and establish a common operational picture and a C2 ‘single pane of glass’ for the headquarters. (U.S. Air Force photo by 2nd Lt.
