Dr. Smith and Force Master Chief Mangaran visited Brig. Gen. Crawford F. Sams Health Clinic and Camp Zama Dental Clinic on Jan., 21, 2026 to engage with clinic leadership and staff.
During the visit, they discussed regional challenges and initiatives focused on medical readiness and access to care for service members, families and civilians stationed in Japan.
Dr. Smith also toured patient care areas and received briefings on healthcare services aligned with DHA’s advancing priorities.
Four staff members were recognized for their clinical excellence and dedication to patient-centered care, reflecting the core values and standards of both clinics.
The visit underscored DHA’s commitment to delivering quality care while prioritizing people, readiness, and delivering world class care in an ever-changing environment across the Indo-Pacific.
