Infantrymen with the 1st Battalion, 181st Infantry Regiment, Massachusetts Army National Guard, and Kenya Defence Forces rangers, participate in a M4 carbine assault rifle marksmanship range during the Justified Accord 2026 live-fire training exercise at the KDF School of Infantry, Isiolo, Kenya March 5, 2026. The bilateral infantry LFX refined weapons handling, fire and maneuver, and communication between U.S. and partner forces, building confidence and interoperability while preparing units to safely conduct coordinated live-fire operations during the culminating exercise.
JA26 increases multinational interoperability in support of humanitarian assistance and crisis response, prepares regional partners for United Nations and African Union missions, and builds readiness for the U.S. joint force. Led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), and hosted in Djibouti, Kenya, and Tanzania, JA26 is U.S. Africa Command’s largest exercise in East Africa.
