U.S. Air Force Airmen, Soldiers and Sailors stand in line as German Bundswehr offer them food and beverages during the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge presentation ceremony at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Feb. 27, 2026. The Bundswehr handed out traditional German sandwiches and pretzels as a token of good will and friendship between Allies. Participants from across the globe took part in the week-long German American Friendship Days hoping to earn the medal in bronze, silver, or gold.
