Curtis Loftin, Deputy Commander, Tulsa District, Michelle Barry, tribal program manager, Tulsa District; and John Calhoun, construction representative, Tulsa District, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the last three houses which will complete the build out of the Village West housing development in Shawnee, OK., March 5, 2026.
“The USACE, Tulsa District, is supporting the Housing Authority of the Kickapoo Tribe under the Tribal Construction Support Program,” said Barry. “Through this program, USACE provides reimbursable technical support and construction oversight to Tribal Nations.
